CamRanger Mini WiFi remote control for Canon and Nikon DSLRs
WiFi remote control for controlling compatible cameras via a mobile device app
The CamRanger Mini is a WiFi remote control that works with most DSLR cameras from Canon and Nikon. DSLM cameras from the Canon EOS R and Nikon Z series are also compatible. There is a free mobile app for iOS and Android to go with the Camranger Mini. You can control your camera via the app. The range of functions extends from normal single shutter releases to more complex functions such as interval and HDR shots. The camera's Live View image can also be displayed. And you can make numerous camera settings via the app. The Camranger Mini therefore shares many functions with the original Camranger, but - as the name suggests - it is much smaller. And the app has also been redesigned for the Camranger Mini.

Establishes its own WiFi network with a range of up to 120 meters
The free app works for smartphones and tablet PCs with the operating systems iOS from version 9.0 and Android from version 5.0. The app is available for download in the respective app stores. The Camranger Mini establishes its own WiFi network with a range of 120 meters. An internet connection is not required. The camera used and the Camranger Mini are connected to each other via a USB cable. The Camranger Mini and the mobile device with the app communicate via the WiFi network.

Transmits the live view image of the connected camera to the connected mobile device
The Camranger Mini transmits the live view image of the connected camera to the mobile device with the app.

Many camera settings are displayed and some can be changed via the app
Numerous camera settings are displayed in the app. These include the exposure mode, shutter speed, lens aperture, ISO number, white balance, focus mode, image format and exposure metering. Many settings can be made via the app, whereby the parameters that can be changed depend on the selected exposure mode. This means, for example, that you cannot set the exposure time in aperture priority mode.

Single shutter release: Triggering the connected camera via the Camranger mini app
The app offers a function for standard single shutter releases so that you can trigger your camera via the app. And if you have activated autofocus, your camera will focus before the shutter is released. Each photo you take is displayed as a thumbnail image. You can also set each photo to be automatically displayed large after it has been taken. Even a full-screen display is possible. The same applies to an enlargement to 200 %. You can also display things like grid lines, Exif data, file names and histograms. You can also specify that each photo is also saved on the mobile device.

Touch-to-focus for automatic focusing by tapping the desired subject area
A special feature is the touch-to-focus function. The great thing about it is that you can focus using the touchscreen of your mobile device. All you have to do is tap the subject area you want your camera to focus on.

Functions for step-by-step focusing and focus stacking
In addition to touch-to-focus, the app also offers other functions for focusing. One of these is step-by-step focusing, whereby there are three different step widths. The app also supports focus stacking. This function makes it possible to create images with an increased depth of field without having to stop down the lens significantly. There are two variants.

Supports HDR recordings and interval recordings for time-lapse image series
The Camranger Mini app has an HDR function for taking a short series of images with varying exposure. You can choose between the parameters exposure time, aperture and ISO number, which is much more flexible compared to the integrated bracketing function of a camera. The app also has an interval function for taking series of pictures, which you can use to create time-lapse movies. Both functions can be combined.

Allows you to start and stop video recordings and follow the recording
You can start and stop video recordings via the app. You can also follow the recording live.

Access to the contents of the memory card in the connected camera
The app gives you access to the contents of the memory card in the connected camera. You can view the images in full size, you can permanently delete images from the memory card and you can save images to your mobile device.
