  • with up to 20 frames per second
  • fast, precise and reliable focusing
  • extensive professional shooting formats and tools
  • a compact, lightweight design with active cooling

8K Cinema full-frame video camera
It shoots cinematic 8K video at up to 30 frames per second (or 60 frames per second with external power) or 4K video with oversampling, as well as Full HD video. The EOS R5 C also produces captivating 4K slow-motion content at up to 120 frames per second.

Incredible 45-megapixel photos at up to 20fps
The full-frame 45-megapixel CMOS sensor delivers incredibly clear images, low noise and wide dynamic range, as well as continuous shooting speeds of up to 20fps and ISO sensitivity up to ISO 51,200. Auto bracketing ensures consistent exposure, while the interval timer enables creative time-lapse shooting.

Extensive Lens Selection
Thanks to Canon's revolutionary RF bayonet, the EOS R5 C is compatible with RF Lenses that offer the most advanced AF and tremendous stabilization, and via EF-EOS R adapters, it can also be used with EF Photo and Cinema lenses. Anamorphics are supported with options for 2x, 1.8x, and 1.3x equalization Advanced 5-axis electronic IS works seamlessly with the Lens optical IS as well as independently for stable and smooth shooting.

Fast, accurate and reliable focusing
The EOS R5 C features Canon's breakthrough Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology with Eye Detection AF and EOS iTR AF X for accurate and reliable face, head and eye tracking - even when the subject is facing away from the camera. Canon's innovative Dual Pixel Focus Guide provides precise visual assistance with manual focusing for razor-sharp shots.

Extensive professional recording formats and tools
Numerous recording formats are available for internal recording, including three Cinema RAW Light options (LT / ST / HQ), XF-AVC, MP4, and even RAW output is possible via HDMI. Canon Log 3, PQ and HLG recording are available for extended dynamic range and professional tools such as Waveform Monitor and False Color Display are also available.

Compact, lightweight design with active cooling
The EOS R5 C is an extremely compact and lightweight Cinema EOS camera. It features a high-resolution OLED viewfinder, a bright 3.2-inch rotating and tilting LCD display, and 13 configurable buttons. A new active cooling system enables long-shot video recording, while the magnesium alloy body provides professional-grade durability.

Plenty of connectivity options
With Wi-Fi3, Bluetooth® and the Multi-Function Accessory Shoe3, plus Timecode, 3.5mm mic input, headphones, micro-HDMI, flash sync and USB-C, the EOS R5 C is ready for anything. It also offers extensive support for photo and video apps like image.canon, Content Transfer Mobile App, Browser Remote and more.

Explanation of New Technologies

Internal 8K RAW Recording
The EOS R5 C can record stunning 8K DCI RAW video at up to 30p (up to 60p with external power) internally to a CFexpress card1, using the full width of its full-frame sensor for a true cinematic look. Focus tracking is also available to keep shots looking professional at all times. 8K RAW offers ultimate image quality and flexibility: resolution is four times higher than 4K, and you can change parameters like white balance after shooting using Canon Cinema RAW development software or your favorite editing software.

4K 120p HFR recording
In addition to 8K video recording options, the EOS R5 C lets you shoot 4K DCI (full-frame) and 4K UHD at frame rates up to 120fps in 4:2:2/10-bit quality with autofocus and audio. This allows for impressive, smooth slow-motion shooting at tremendous resolution. The EOS R5 C also features oversampling of full-frame sensor data for exceptional 4K and Full HD clarity with increased sharpness and color fidelity, as well as significantly reduced noise.

Internal cooling for long shooting times
The EOS R5 C features internal cooling. A brand new design ensures that the heat generated is dissipated via an integrated fan with an outlet on the rear. This clever technology enables long-time shooting in 8K with Canon's smallest and handiest Cinema EOS camera.

1 Boost mode enables 8K/60p shooting, but requires an external power supply.
2 Internal Wi-Fi connection is only available in Photo mode. The optional Wireless File Transmitter WFT-R10 enables the WLAN function in Video mode.
3 Allows the use of external accessories such as XLR adapters, stereo microphone, and Speedlites. Canon Speedlites with weather protection are not compatible.
