The 12-100mm F4.0 IS PRO features effective in-lens image stabilization. On its own, this lens offers up to 5 stops of shutter speed compensation. It gets even better when you combine the lens with a compatible OM-D or PEN camera body to get dual image stabilization - one in the body and one in the lens. This creates the 5-axis Sync IS, the most powerful image stabilization system in the world. It compensates for up to 7.5 shutter speed steps with the OM-D E-M1X or E-M1 Mark III (6.5 shutter speed steps with the E-M1 Mark II or E-M5 Mark III) at 200mm (35mm equivalent) and compensates for all camera movements. Close encounters made easy
We've designed the 12-100mm F4.0 PRO to let you take close-up and long-distance shots, even at extremely long range. This lens has a minimum working distance of 1.5 cm at the longest focal length, just over a centimeter from the front of the lens, for effortless macro shots. With the maximum magnification of 0.60x (35mm equivalent), you can capture small details on small objects. Capture detailed shots of flowers, insects, jewelry or any other objects where you don't need an additional lens.

Portability and usefulness
Let's start with the obvious: The 12-100mm F4.0 IS PRO (24-200mm 35mm equivalent) is pretty small. At around 340g, it's light enough to carry every day and compact enough to fit easily into a small bag. With its constant f4.0 aperture, edge-to-edge sharpness and minimal distortion, it takes amazing pictures at any focal length. In comparison, you would normally need two professional lens to cover the wide focal length range of the 12-100mm F4.0 IS PRO. This one lens makes the system lighter and slimmer. Smaller is better for travel, nature photography and everyday comfort.

Convenience and control
The 12-100mm F4.0 IS PRO makes it easy to get the shots you need. With the customizable lens function button, you can control a range of camera functions directly on the lens barrel. Programmable functions include Focus Peaking, AF Stop and Magnify. The focus ring is equipped with a manual focus clutch that allows you to quickly switch back and forth between manual and autofocus. You can even preset a focus position with the easy-to-read rangefinder and instantly return to that position from AF mode by simply pulling the ring towards you.
