The Aptaris system makes it possible! The Walimex pro Aptaris Universal XL MK II Advanced Set takes the strain off you on longer shoots. The Universal XL MK II Cage is simply attached to the Rod Module with the help of a clamping screw. The double rod clamp supplied enables the additional attachment of the 400mm rods integrated in the set, creating additional space for attaching accessories such as follow focus or matte box. Furthermore, the height difference between the base rods and the Lens is compensated for when filming with a battery grip or an interface unit. The shoulder support is slid over the rod system (15mm industry standard) and securely fixed in place. It is designed so that it can be used for the right or left shoulder. Soft foam padding ensures a comfortable fit even during prolonged use. Like the shoulder support, the grip module is also attached via the 15 mm rods. Thanks to the ergonomic design, the grips sit comfortably in the hand. The Aptaris Cable Guard included in the set is a useful tool for protecting the cable connections of your camera.

Walimex pro Aptaris Universal XL Mk II
Walimex pro Aptaris Universal XL Mk II opens up a multitude of possibilities. With its additional 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch threaded holes, accessories such as microphones or film lights can be attached even more flexibly. The new and larger handle provides even more carrying comfort and can be mounted at the top, bottom or side as required. This also makes it possible to film close to the ground. The handle also has two 1/4 inch and four 3/8 inch threaded holes. The Universal XL Mk II is suitable for all standard cameras. In short, for all cameras whose hot shoe and tripod thread are on the same axis and do not exceed or fall short of the internal dimensions of the cage. Aptaris is simply attached to the camera via the hot shoe of the camera and the camera screw connection (1/4 inch thread). An absolute highlight is the height adjustability of the cage, which is achieved using four hexagon socket screws. Two small hooks on the camera plate, which can be individually adjusted depending on the camera, ensure an absolutely non-slip hold. Thanks to the adapter plate with the Manfrotto PL 501 standard, Aptaris can also be mounted on a Manfrotto tripod. In any case, access to the battery compartment, memory card etc. remains unrestricted.
The Walimex pro Aptaris Universal XXL Adapter allows you to extend the distance between the baseplate and the grip module by up to 103mm. The extensions are absolutely torsion-proof and do not allow the handles to slip unintentionally. Additional 1/4 inch threads allow the attachment of accessories. Like all Aptaris products, the XXL adapter was developed and manufactured in Germany. Very light and durable aerospace aluminum is used.
Tripod adapter
The tripod adapter allows you to quickly and easily move your camera in the cage from the rig to the tripod. All you have to do is screw the tripod plate of your camera tripod to the adapter. The Aptaris tripod adapter has the same mount as the Aptaris Rod module and is therefore compatible with the Aptaris Universal XL, Universal XL Mk II and Universal Frame. Your tripod plate is attached to the Aptaris tripod adapter as usual using 1/4" or 3/8" screws.
Cable Guard
Defective connection sockets and cable connections are a thing of the past. Whether USB, flash synchronization or HDMI connection: the Cable Guard protects these sensitive points from defects caused by pulling on the cable. One or more cables can be easily fed through and fixed in place with two knurled screws. The cables are protected from damage by a rubber pad on both sides. This support also allows cables of different thicknesses to be fixed in place. The cable protection can be flexibly attached to the cage using two 1/4 inch screws. The large knurled screws allow your cables to be mounted quickly. Like all accessories in the Aptaris system, the cable protector was developed and manufactured in Germany.
