Cinema camera
Cinema cameras - camcorders for professionals
For video recording, more and more people are turning to DSLR / DLSM cameras to use an existing system. However, for professional use, these systems lack crucial features. The application areas of videography are very extensive. It ranges from broadcasts for live events to film productions and documentations.
In these areas, the settings of the camera must be quickly changeable . Elaborate menu navigation is counterproductive. Cinema camcorders have all the settings here at their fingertips. Exposure time, white balance, high frame rate, peaking, zebras and of course built-in ND filters. Professional Cinema cameras thus usually have freely adjustable buttons, or even more function buttons than a conventional camera has.
Interchangeable lenses are also a must in this segment. Unlike the classic camcorders, with fixed lenses, the lenses can usually be changed here to better cover the special application areas.
Manufacturers such as Canon, Sony, Blackmagic and Panasonic ensure for high quality in the area of video quality, resolution, codecs, 10bit 4:2:2 and autofocus. Some models offer the ability to record Raw Video CDNG which offers the professional more latitude in post processing to produce a perfect result.
Broadcasting is no longer conceivable without these cameras. Streaming functions and network control, as well as synchronization via time code allow easy integration of the cameras into the workflow. Especially rear camera remote controls are very practical because they allow the operation of the zoom / focus while using the video head from the tripod.
